L'Exhibition..

Was gonna visit the Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea but unfortunately it was closed for a private function. It's all about contemporary art (=the moderns styles of today's era - for those who doesn't know..). I like the Saatchi a lot and I go there on & off.. + xtra bonus - it's free of charge...
So, instead - we went to Saatchi's restaurant, Gallery Mess... which I also like - yeah it's all about the food.. Summer time it's sublime coz great outside tables. And, as well, if you're there summer time - don't forget this one.. They have got the most incredible dessert, knickerbockerglories - just the look of this one makes you smile.. It's like everything you can eat as a dessert put altogether in a tall glass - like, layer after layer (kinda the dessert Rachel in Friends made in an episode but without the beef... remember..). I had it last summer so I promise to go back there this summer too so I can take a shot of it and I'll show ya..
Sister & mum..
So instead of a closed Saatchi we went to the Royal Academy of Arts where currently Sketch has a pop-up cafe (Sketch by the way, is a MUST to visit in London if interested in Art & design - 2 restaurants - 1 of them exxxxxtreamly £££££££ - & 3 bars)(I'll show pics another time, ohh and of course the Swarovski toilets and my favorites, the talking egg-toilets..).
But, in RAoA we also checked out the current exhibition by Stuart Haygarth.
Stuart Haygarth collects loads of stuff he finds at markets & car boot sales etc and creates some amazing pieces out of them. These lamps are sooo kitsch, one is all about porcelain cats and the other one dogs - (they're quite big as well - you can see someone's hand in the pic to compare)..
This awesome (can't actually stand that word..) light is made by thousands and thousands of spectacle lenses.
The outside terrace at the Sketch pop-up cafe.
A xx
